3D printers are a miracle. I can sketch something, design it in Fusion, and an hour or two later have a version to test. It normally takes a few revisions, but I can have a physical object that solves a problem in my hands in less time than it takes to order something.

Creativity and Fishing, a Rick Rubin Analogy
In “The Creative Act: A Way of Being” Rick Rubin’s book on creativity, he has a chapter where he compares ideas to seeds and also makes a fishing analogy. Mixed metaphors aside, it stuck with me, partly because I am a designer and a fisherman.
